I just finished it.

Well, well, well... we've got ourselves another main character.

First off, I saw this coming from a long long way off. I'll completely give Agatha Christie the credit for my guessing that Snape would kill Dumbledore at the end of chapter 2. I kept finding evidence to support my theory as I read the book, so it turned from a crazy theory into something more substantial as the book progressed. And I collected little clues that Snape is not evil.

Dumbledore knew that Snape had made the vow. That's why he used his power to go search for horcruxes (is that the plural?). He knew that he must die, so he might as well get the most mileage out of his power first. The argument DD and Snape had in the hall was that DD wanted Snape to actually kill him. The Dumbledore pleading was Dumbledore pleading for snape to kill *him*. And re-read the chase scene at the end from the snape-is-not-evil point of view.

I am currently of the R-A-B is Regulus Black camp, although fully for lack of a better option. And I'm fighting with the
