cmouseSo after a brief stint with the idea of doing a show from Transiberian Orchstra's Christmas Eve and Other Stories, I'm thinking of writing my own show. I have gradually come to the conclusion it's inevitable. I've always had a directoral vision/dream/etc of doing a multimedia show. No, not the multimedia that was all the rage in computers a while ago.
This was the original idea behind Songs. To me Songs is one story, one message told in many different styles and many different textures. Originally I was going to some of the pieces as more theatrical and some as more dance and some more music. Change the focus on each piece. And make it all seamlessly mesh.
We can go onward and keep extending this concept. We can tell the same story with drama, dance, non-vocal music, video. If we integrate these correctly we can get a really neat piece of... art? Theater. It's still theater in my mind.
So I have ideas. First I need a plot. I have a few ideas.
